Happy Fall Y'all!

 Hello friends,

I love living in Arizona but sometimes it is so nice to have a change of season as we are having now.  I have been enjoying some cooler weather and breakfast on the patio.  To celebrate the season I have made a fun card to share with you.  All the dies used here are from Karen Burniston featuring the Little Twist Panel Pop Up (my all time favorite).

I love that you took the time to stop by,

BOO!

Hello Friends,
It is beginning to look a lot like Halloween around here so I thought it would be a good time to share a card I made using some of the dies from Karen Burniston's new release. This time I have used the Stocking Pop-Up to animate my ghosts.  It is amazing how easy this is to put together.

Here is a short video of it in action.

You can see all the products I used listed below, simply click on the photo to see all the information.

Happy Haunting,

Blog Hop Day - YAY!!

 Hello friends,

Today Karen Burniston and the Design Team are proud to share all of the new dies from the latest release. You may have been seeing some sneak peeks but today we have the entire thing to reveal. Don't forget to go to the links below for each team member and leave a comment for a chance to win some great prizes.

I have made two cards for you today.  This first one uses the Stocking Pop Up.  This is a very generic die even though it is called the Stocking Pop Up it can be used for so much more.  I have made several cards using the die but no stocking yet.

For this card I have used the new Stocking Pop-up - replacing the stocking with the Woven Basket.  You may have noticed the cute bulbs from the Christmas Borders, such a fun way to accent any Christmas card.  I have used them on the front as well as inside this card.  The holly, jolly is from the new small script Christmas die set which includes a shadow die for each word.

I always like to show my cards in action. So check it out in this short video.

For this card I used the new Christmas Borders that has these cute little mittens.  A snowman seemed perfect to go along with this border.  I decorated each mitten - the snowflake and hearts are also included in the set.

Week 6 - Haunted House

 Hello Friends,

It is the final week of my series on the different uses for the House of Cards die set.  This week I think is the best one yet, a Haunted House.  I had to alter the base of this card to make my plan work and I will show you just how to do that in a short video at the end of the post.  So without further ado -

here it is.

This card was so fun yet challenging and I like that.  I had to alter the base of the card to hold all the elements and I explain it all to you at the end of this video.  The first part is the new Haunted House and then a review of all the House of Cards creations.

Here is how I altered the center to make the card work with three cubes on the bottom.  Instructions are also included at the end of the video.

cut and assemble as usual leaving one end open.  Mark 1/2" sections as shown above.

Cut on line and overlap to shorten.  Glue second tab and then find new center.

Install in card as usual and then place the first cube over the center mechanism.

Strike Up Some Fun

 Hello Friends,

Recently I made a Birthday card for a friend who likes to bowl.  I saw a card on YouTube called the Stadium Wave Card.  It was made by Sam Calcott  - so with all due respect I have linked her video below. The only dies I used here is the Happy Birthday die set from Karen Burniston.

For the bowling pins, ball and front of card, I found some free clipart and then cut it out with my Scan n Cut.

Enjoy!

Have a great day,

Designer Challenge - Holiday House

 Hello friends and welcome back,

Today is Designer Challenge Day for the Karen Burniston Design Team.  Our challenge for this month is Holiday House.  Karen asked us to use the Holiday House for any occasion.  Our son and his wife recently moved here to Arizona and have moved into their new home.   I created this card to welcome them - we are so happy to have them nearby once again.

Here is a short video of the card, more photos and links to the products I used are below.

I love the southwest with all it's mountains and desert creatures so I have a lot of  Southwestern stickers, stamps and embellishments in my stash.  I must confess that I put them to use on this card.  I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Welcome card.

For this card I used the platform from the House and Fence die set to add a little motion to the card.

Here is a quick video of the card in action.

Birthday Cupcakes

Hi friends, I'm stopping by today to share a card that I made for Karen Burniston's birthday which was last month.  I like to use my dies in as many ways as I can so I am always thinking of fun ways to do something that is unexpected.

For this card I started with a 5"X 7" base.  I used the Twist Flower Pop-up using cupcakes instead of flowers.  I used the Cupcake Add-ons for the cute cupcakes cutting them apart to create a shadow around each one.  Then I overlapped them before adding them to the pop-up.  I was careful when placing the Celebrate not to create a catch point.

You can see all the products I used linked below.  Also linked below you will see another fun way to use this die.  This time I popped up a winning hand of cards.

Stay Happy and Crafty,

It's a New Release from Karen Burniston

 Hello Friends,

It's an exciting time right now because Karen Burniston just released 9 new die sets.  Oh what fun we will have with these.  All of the dies are fun and exciting but what a WOW factor with the new House of Cards.  The first card game that came to my mind was GO FISH so I had to make this fun card.

Who doesn't love a crazy steampunk guy riding a fish?  Then the House of Cards just pops up with all kinds of sea creatures.  So much fun.

Be sure to check out all the fun and see so many more fun reveals on the Karen Burniston Pop Up Peeps on Facebook.   ENJOY!!

Down on the Farm

 Howdy,

Sometimes an idea just hits you and you have to do it.  That's what happened to me when I was watching some crafting videos on YouTube.  This card was inspired by MayMay Made It, I have provided a link for you so you can see her card.  I was too lazy to do all the cutting and measuring so I got out my Karen Burniston dies and came up with my own version.  This is a triple easel card using the Slim Flap and Frame Die set.

I made the base of my card following the instruction provided in the video linked below and the simply creased each of the side panels diagonally so it would create an easel for each section.

I hope you will feel inspired to give this a try, so much fun.
See you soon,
S@ndy
