Happy Fall Y'all!

 Hello friends,

I love living in Arizona but sometimes it is so nice to have a change of season as we are having now.  I have been enjoying some cooler weather and breakfast on the patio.  To celebrate the season I have made a fun card to share with you.  All the dies used here are from Karen Burniston featuring the Little Twist Panel Pop Up (my all time favorite).

Happy Fall Y'all

 Hello Friends,

  Although it is still blazin hot here in Arizona, I know it's beginning to cool off in other places. That made me think about a cute little garden gnome.  While I love any kind of gnome this one is especially cute because he also lights up.

In this photo you can see him greeting guests on my front porch and he is totally adorable with his fall colors.

 

 Here he is after dark - still greeting our guests.

 

I began with the Medium Wood Gnome 1 from Clear Scraps for this one.

 

 I began with covering parts of the base with paper, then the hands and nose were edged with a little pink,

 

 The beard portion was painted with orange and some small holes were drilled.

A string of battery operated lights were placed through the holes.  Some (lots) leaves were cut out of vellum.

By using vellum the light will shine through.

 

 The entire beard and lights were covered with leaves - leave space for the nose.

 

 

On the back of the hat and beard pieces I used double sided foam tape to lift the pieces up leaving room for the lights.

 

 

 A Happy Fall Y'all sign was added and the nose and hands glued on.

Hello my crafty friends,

Today is the monthly challenge for the Karen Burniston Design Team and I have put together a fun double spinner card for you.  The theme is "Happy Fall Y'all".  Since I love all the fall colors, orange is my favorite, I used as many as possible on my card.  I made a video as well - I hope you will take a few minutes to watch and of course leave me some comments.

Card measurements:  Finished card size 5" X 5.5"
                                   Cut cardstock 5" X 11", crease in the center and cut a hole in the center of front
                                   Spinner Rectangles 1.5" X 3"  (2)
                                   Large Rectangle is 4" X 4.25"  with 4" side going in fold of card
