Monthly Series Card - Halloween

 Hi Friends,

It's time for another card in my series using small dies and Charms from Karen Burniston along with the Postage Collage from Waffle Flower.  This month I'm celebrating Halloween, one of my favorites.  I love the colors and images that go with Halloween.

 Enjoy -

For the pop up inside, I used the Heart Collage Pop-Up to make my ghosts pop out.
I have linked Karen's Instruction video below for the Heart Collage.

BOO!

Hello Friends,
It is beginning to look a lot like Halloween around here so I thought it would be a good time to share a card I made using some of the dies from Karen Burniston's new release. This time I have used the Stocking Pop-Up to animate my ghosts.  It is amazing how easy this is to put together.

Here is a short video of it in action.

Week 6 - Haunted House

 Hello Friends,

It is the final week of my series on the different uses for the House of Cards die set.  This week I think is the best one yet, a Haunted House.  I had to alter the base of this card to make my plan work and I will show you just how to do that in a short video at the end of the post.  So without further ado -

here it is.

This card was so fun yet challenging and I like that.  I had to alter the base of the card to hold all the elements and I explain it all to you at the end of this video.  The first part is the new Haunted House and then a review of all the House of Cards creations.

Here is how I altered the center to make the card work with three cubes on the bottom.  Instructions are also included at the end of the video.

cut and assemble as usual leaving one end open.  Mark 1/2" sections as shown above.

Cut on line and overlap to shorten.  Glue second tab and then find new center.

Install in card as usual and then place the first cube over the center mechanism.

Hocus Pocus

A quick stop by to share a Halloween Card.  Just one week from today the big day will be here. For this card I used dies, paper and glitter from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  You will find all the links below.

This is a slimline card so it measures 9"X4".  It's hard to see in the photo but I have covered this spiderweb with Black Microfine Glitter to give this card a little extra sparkle.  You can see how I did it below.

I covered my paper with Elizabeth Craft Designs Double Sided Adhesive before cutting it out.

After removing the tape liner I covered the spiderweb with Black Microfine Glitter and then burnished it.

I attached the glittered web to the cards front panel.

I didn't have black rindstones in my stash so I colored some red ones with a black Copic Marker.  Hocus Pocus was added and then the banner was topped off with a witches hat.

Thanks for joining me today and Happy Haunting,
S@ndy

A Spooky Photo Collage

Hello Friends and welcome back!

Halloween is just over a month away and I simply love making Halloween cards and projects.  Today I'm sharing a card made with the Karen Burniston Photo Collage.  This die is so versatile and fun.  All the products I used for this card are linked below.
ENJOY

You can see a complete video on how to assemble the Photo Collage mechanism by

The fall color pallet is my favorite so, naturally, this is perfect for me.

Here are a couple more cards and pages I have made using the same die in different ways.

In the video clip below I used the Photo Collage for the flowers, please excuse the incomplete front cover.  This one was added to a pop up book.

Halloween Home Decor

Hi friends,

I's a spooky day over at the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog.  The design team as well as a few others are sharing some Halloween spirit so if you would like to be inspired - just click here.  But before you go I would like to share what I made.  It's a haunted house complete with it's own grave yard and creepy moon.  The house is completely separate so it can be filled with Halloween treats or used as a candle holder.

All of the dies and stamps I used are from Elizabeth Craft Designs and are linked below for your shopping pleasure.  The moon is from an old paper collection from Graphic 45.

Lots of fun detail for you to enjoy with a view from the top!

You may be surprised to see that the base is the Happy Frame.  I simply covered the entire thing with another piece of cardstock and then decorated it.  Some elements were glued to the top and some, the trees and moon, on the back section.  Using the Holiday House Box as the haunted house it adds even more possibilities for more holidays.  The entire thing is finished off with some fun ribbon from my stash.

Don't forget to stop by the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog for even more inspiration for this fun and spooky event.

Hope to see you there,
S@ndy

Royal Castle, Sand Castle - Haunted Castle

Hi Friends,

Today I'm sharing a card I made with Karen Burniston's Castle Pop Up die set.  I love getting many uses from my dies so I try to think of unusual ways to alter them.  This little project turned out so cute, I just love it and hope you do too!

I left the front of the card very simple because as you can see, the fun is all on the inside!!

You can shop for any of the items I used by clicking the links below.
