Special Delivery

Hello again friends, with Christmas just a couple weeks away, you may be stressing if you haven't finished your cards yet.  Today I have one that goes together quickly for a spectacular look.

For this card I used Karen Burniston's new Postage Pop-up to create a fun look.  For the front I simply used some designer paper that was in my stash cut to make a square card.  On the inside I continued with the designer paper and added the Postage Pop-up with some more of Karen's adorable charms and borders.  You can see all the products I used linked below.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Holidays,

Ho Ho Ho

Tis the season to be jolly!  I have a fun slimline card to share today using dies from Karen Burniston.  One thing I love about Karen's dies is how they all work together and are always available on her website as well as some crafty shops both in person and online.  I've used a combination of sets for this card.

You don't want to get caught being naughty, especially at this time of year, so try to stay on the nice list.

To make the Ho Ho Ho - I used the Howdy die - cutting off the first two letters to use on the card.
Santa and one of his elves is ready to get the sleigh loaded for the big night.

Ink It

Hi my friends - so happy to have you joining me today.  It's the first Tuesday of the month and, of course, that means a Karen Burniston Challenge and this time it is INK IT.

I made this fun character card using lots of Karen's dies and I even turned some of them into stamps. I also used lots of blue ink in the process and there is a video to go with it.

Enjoy

Celebrate the Season

Hi Everyone,

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

It has been a busy week and here I am again.  Today the folks at Elizabeth Craft Designs are celebrating the season with some festive gift box ideas.  These cute little boxes are perfect for that special small gift.  I also like them as table decorations and place cards for a holiday dinner. They also look amazing as a home décor item with a battery operated candle.

Designer Suzanne Cannon is holding a special event on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog and the design team has gathered up some wonderful ideas to share with you using the Gable Box.  You can see all the designs by clicking here.

I made the boxes above especially for this event and I made the ones below a few weeks ago and there is a tutorial on the blog with all the details.  Simply Click here.

Let the holiday shopping and decorating begin!!!

A Floral Christmas

Welcome friends,

Today is the Designer Challenge at Elizabeth Craft Designs and our theme is A Floral Christmas.  What could be more festive than an entire Christmas Tree decorated with Poinsettias?  I hope you enjoy my take on the challenge where I have used so many wonderful Elizabeth Craft Designs products which are all linked below.  All you have to do is click to shop.

You can see everything the team made by clicking here.  You will be delighted at how clever the team is with their creations.  You also have a chance to win a gift card by answering this fun question

Which Elizabeth Craft Designs flower or foliage die or stamp set would you chose to create a Christmas card or decoration?

Here is my card - Enjoy!

I used the Elegant Christmas Tree for the base but did have some trouble finding a poinsettia that is small enough to fit on the tree so I got creative and used the flower portion of the "Garden Notes" Jasmine and as you can see it was a perfect match.  I made the background by stamping and heat embossing the Snowflakes Stamp Set and then adding some Distress Oxide Ink over the top.

Paper Pros - Christmas Holidays

Today is the Paper Pros challenge and frankly, I just ran out of time.  Since time was short and I still wanted to participate I decided to revisit a post I did some time ago.  Karen Burniston has re-released her Christmas Tree Pop Stand and it has been a popular one.  This die is so versatile and easy to assemble that I wanted to share this once more. I made the Christmas Tree Pop Stand in an explosion box.

You can see a complete tutorial on how I made this "tree in a box" by clicking here.  You can easily make this project by substituting Karen's old products which are no longer available for the new ones linked below.

Give it a try,

It's so nice to think of the North Pole right now.  It's hot, hot, hot here in Arizona so thoughts of winter and snow sound pretty good at the moment.

Let's "Twist" - Paper Pros Challenge

Hi friends,  it's time for the Paper Pros challenge and the theme is Let's "Twist".  I used the Karen Buirniston's Twist Panel Pop Up die set.  I also used some pieces from Karen's other sets that are linked below,  just click to shop.

To see Karen's video on how to assemble the Twist Panel Pop Up, simply Click Here.

The fun of these cards is always on the inside so I was delighted to find a piece of paper in my stash that needed no additional embellishments. A Christmas Tree says it all.

Designer Challenge - Christmas

Hi Friends,

Today is the Designers Challenge at Elizabeth Craft Designs (ECD) and all the team members have made something fun to share with you.  Our theme this time is Christmas.   For my card, I used the Snowglobe Scene die set with some of the  Dotted Scallop Squares.

I found the perfect size circles to cut the backing and holes using the Fitted Circles die from ECD.  Along with the dies I used the plastic snowglobe cup from jellibean soup to make the scene go together fast and easily.

ECD is giving away three $20.00 gift cards and all you have to do is go on over to their blog HERE and comment on the question provided.

Enjoy,
S@ndy

The hop started on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blogso if you just happened to hop onto my blog you may want to head over there now so you can start at the beginning of the hop. You don't want to miss anything and there is lots to see!

My card -

This is a 5" X 7" finished card.  Cut card base 7" X 10" and score in the center.
Cut a rectangle from White Soft Finish Cardstock that is 6.75" X 4.75" and add clouds.

I used the Adventure edges to create the clouds in the background.  In the photo I used white cardstock so it is easier to see but I actually used acetate to create my mask.  I simply used some light blue ink and moved the mask around until I had the white background covered with clouds.

Next I created my sweaters, that was fun!  Everything you see here is in the Winter Sweater Die Set with the exception of the trees, for that I used the Snowglobe Scene Die Set.
Before adding the cloud panel to the card, add the clothesline using twine.

Click on the links below to shop for the items used here.

Be Merry,

All I Want For Christmas

Hi all and welcome to the first Designer Challenge for December.  Of course
Karen Burnistion wanted us to do something for the season and the theme is "All I Want For Christmas".   Everyone is busy making their home warm & cozy, decorating and baking at this time of year.  I'm sharing my snow globe today that shows the completed, welcoming home.

This card  is a 6" X  6" with a top fold.  My cute little house is from the House Pivot card from the Pop it Ups collection and decorated for Christmas using some elements from the Holiday House.

I made this card the same way you would make a shaker card but added a surprise by using some Chibi LED Lights.  They are fun and easy to use.  I added a removable sticker for the recipient so they would know what to do.

When you press, the windows light up.  What more could you want for Christmas than a warm welcome?

There are lots of videos on YouTube on how to install these lights on your cards.

Stop by Karen's Facebook Page to see everything the team put together for this challenge and go to her blog tomorrow to see a great new video and technique.

Have a crafty week,
