Summer Road Trip

Hi Everyone,

Summer is here and you know what that means, ROAD TRIP.  We are about to set out on our annual RV trip so the packing and planning has begun in a big way.

The Paper Pros, an informal group of crafters, is doing a fun challenge today with the travel theme of Summer Road Trip.  For my card I used one of the new die sets from Karen Burniston called the Snowman Twist Circle.  No, I didn't make a snowman, instead I used the twist circle inside the card to make these fun girls from Art Impressions pop up in the center of the card.

I kept the front of the card rather simple using some stickers from my stash.

On the inside the girls are having some fun cruzzin' down the road in their little red car.  Girls just wanna have fun.  The sides of the inside panel were trimmed using the Nature Edges and then a couple more stickers finished it off.

I'm ready for a road trip, how about you?

Happy Birthday Shirley

Hi my friends,  I have a card to share today that I made for our friend - Shirley.  She is into bowling, a bowling babe, so when I saw these new stamps from Art Impressions, Spare Me, I just had to get them.  If you know me, you know how I hate fussy cutting but I did it on this one simply because it was necessary.

For the front, I colored and fussy cut the bowling babe and the bowling bags.  I stamped the pins and cute sentiment. I had a little giggle the entire time.

On the inside -  to hold the pins - I used the Lots of Pops die designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.  Using wood grain paper I added the bowling lane and with silver came the gutter ball slots.   I added Happy Birthday and one more stamp for the background - it was done.

It's good to be queen!

Hi friends and welcome back, today I'm sharing a card that I just finished using the Anita Frames Pop Up die from Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I had so much fun with this one because my friends are always making fun of me for being a queen, truth be told, I am.  What's a girl to do when hubby spoils her?  I just love this cute stamp set from Art Impressions and it works so well with the Anita Frames Pop Up die set.  You can see the entire new release from Karen by clicking here.

Hope you enjoy-

Hope to see you on Monday for the first Designers Challenge for August where the challenge has come from Karen.  It is Flour or Flower!  Can't wait to see what the team makes for this one.

Have a great weekend,

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Hi my blogger friends,

Today I wanted to make something for the challenge over at Art Impressions so got out my stamp sets and came up with a tag using the theme "April Showers Bring May Flowers".  I may use it for a card front later on.  While I'm at it, I may as well join the fun over at Mixed Media Monthly Challenge where they, of course, are looking for Flowers.  Hope you enjoy -

The stamp set that I used for the birdhouses is AI #M3312 and the flowers are from an  AI set from Michael's, His & Hers Gardeners. I used a manila tag to start with then embossed it with the Rays Embossing Folder from Tim Holtz.  I then added some Squeezed Lemonade and Stormy Sky Distress Inks.  I added the raindrops with Glossy Accents and then colored the ribbon with Squeezed Lemonade and Mermaid Lagoon.  The bird is a Remnant Rub on an enameled tag.  The cute little umbrellas are from Impression Obsession and the Baby Duckies are from Memory Box.

What's New

Hi My Blogger Friends,

Today I have a card to share with you that I made with an Art Impressions Stamp and will be entering it in their challenge, What's New.

There are actually two new parts, one is the cute stamp set I got from Michael's.  They are carrying 5 sets and of course I got all of them.  I just thought this flying couple was so stinkin cute I just had to make a card with them. The second thing is a brand new set of Chameleon Markers - this is my first go with them.

I plan to make more of this one for the men's birthdays in 2015.  That will be a change for me since I usually wait until it is time to send the card before I make it.

Hope you enjoy and will leave me some comments.

Thanksgiving Wishes

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is only a week away.  Where does the time go?

I'm just dropping in for a quick post to share a card I made today.  I used the Tim Holtz Pumpkin Jack Die for the card and cut a hole in the center.  This cute little turkey is a stamp set from Art Impressions that I colored with my Prismacolor Pencils.

The cute sentiment is part of the stamp set. The back end of the turkey is on one of the Action Wobble things from Art Impressions so it wiggles when you open the card.  So much fun.

Have a crafty weekend-
