Designer Challenge - Accordion

It's my favorite Tuesday of the month, Designer Challenge Day.  This month Karen Burniston has challenged us to make an accordion card.

I used the Landscape Rectangle Accordion for the base of my card so I had a chance to use the new Cupcake Add-ons, they are the perfect fit.  I have linked all the products I used below as well as the instruction video for the accordion and the add-ons.

Happy Crafting,

"Double" That's The Challenge

Hello friends and welcome back,

It's the first Tuesday of the month and, of course, that means Designer Challenge Day! YAY!

Here is Karen's Challenge to the team - Theme: "DOUBLE" - make a card of any theme using a doubling technique.

I decided to take it one step further and do a "DOUBLE", "DOUBLE".  I used two different pop-up dies with a, you guessed it, double Pivot Panel.   For my card, I combined the Fancy Label Accordion with the Heart Pivot Panel.

I have made a full instructional video for you.  It's not as hard as it may look. Please take a look, I try to keep my videos as short as possible so you can learn all about it and rewind as much as needed.

Be sure to stop by and join the fun on the Facebook page - Karen Burniston's Pop Up Peeps.
Tune in tomorrow to see Karen's new technique.  I will have a link for you here.

Stay Crafty, see you soon,

Hey There Cupcake!

I have a fun card to show you today.  I've been making some sample cards for my friend Maria who owns It's Cheaper Than Therapy.com.  She is now carrying dies from Karen Burniston's new line of Pop-ups.  These are so much fun to make and even more fun to give.

For this card I used the Charm Accordion and then added a few items from some of the other die set all linked below.

Hope you have enjoyed this little visit and the card,

Designer Challenge - Stretch it Out

Well here we are on the 4th Monday and time for another challenge.  This time the challenge was determined by one of the design team members.  Our lovely, Kelly Booth, has challenged us with
Stretch it out!" - use any of the Accordion dies for a project of any theme.

I went with "Celebrate Life".  I used the Gift Card Accordion for my base and added some fun embellishments.

One of the fun features of an Accordion card is that it folds up flat for mailing but when it is "Stretched Out", it is truly an unexpected surprise.

I love mixing things up - using lots of pieces from different die sets and cards.  I have done just that with this card and have linked all the products I used below.  If you haven't made an accordion card yet, wait no longer.  It's time to "Stretch it Out".

You can see what the entire team made by visiting Karen Burniston Designer.  Stop by Karen's Blog tomorrow to see a new technique and video.

Have an awesome week,

Summer Lovin

It's day two of  Designers Challenge week with Karen Burniston.  Her challenge to the team is Summer Lovin.  When I think summer - I think, swimming, picnics and the 4th of July.  I made a patriotic card this time combining 2 of Karen's Accordion Cards, the Star Accordion and the       Fancy Label Accordion.

Don't forget to go to Karen's blog tomorrow to see everything the team made as well as a new video from her.  She always has great techniques to share.

Have a creative week,

Graduation is here -

Hi friends,

Just stopping by to share a graduation card that I made for our grandson.  It features Poppy as the scholar and he is attached to the Hanging Charm Pull Tab card.

The word "Congrats" fit perfectly on top of the frame and slides up with Poppy to reveal the phrase, "The Sky's the Limit".

Inside I added a pocket to hold the gift and decorated it with the words "A Gift For You" from the Gift Card Accordion die.

It's hard to believe that our youngest grandchild is graduating.  The ceremony is today at noon and we are looking forward to seeing him get that diploma.

All dies used here are from Elizabeth Craft Designs - you can shop by clicking here.

Have a great weekend - see you on Monday for Karen Burniston's Designer Week.
