A Boy and His Dog -

 Hello Karen Burniston fans,

I'm stopping by today with a cute card featuring the Gazebo Stage Add-On and the Little Bench Pop-up along with the Paper People Summer Style.  That's a lot of new dies mixed with some older ones.  That is one of the things I like best about Karen's dies, they all work together.  You can see all the products I used to create this card linked below.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit with a boy and his dog.

Designer Challenge - Mealtime

Hello friends,

It's Designer Challenge Day and this month Karen has challenged the team with the theme: Mealtime.

I really like shaped cards so decided to make this apron shaped card with a large pocket full of kitchen tools.  On the inside I added plates of food using the Mealtime Elements on the Cascade Pop-up. I added some spaghetti, bread and, of course, dessert.

You can see all the die sets (there are a few) I used to create this card linked below.

My card is an invitation to a "Game Nite" event.  So much fun, food and games. I found some game paper in my stash that worked perfectly for this.

I began with the Cascade Pop-up, then added some fun snack foods from the Dessert Elements and the Mealtime Elements to make it look like a buffet.  Of course, I had to add some drinks using the Six Pack Toolbox Add-ons.

You can see all the new dies below.

Now for the fun and creativity of the Design Team - Good Luck and start hopping.

Sneak Peeks are Here!!

 Hello friends,

Today is the first day for the sneak peeks from Karen Burniston's new release.   You are going to love this one, it is packed with fun and inspiration.  Hop on over to the Karen Burniston Pop Up Peeps on FB to see more from Karen and the design team.  Have a great day!

Here you can see all the great new dies and stamps.

Here is my first card featuring the new release - I used the new Cascade Pop-up with the Hot Air Balloons from the last release.  One of the best things about Karen's dies is that the new ones work perfectly with the previously released die sets.

Below is a picture of the Cascade Pop-up without the balloons - just so you can see how it works.  It looks so much harder than it is.  Fun, fun, fun.

Thanks for stopping by and I will see you soon -

Designer Challenge - "Box or Blocks"

 Hello Friends,

I live in Arizona where it is hot, hot, hot so I can't think of anything more refreshing than going to the movies.  Air conditioning, entertainment and a big box of popcorn.  I had some fun making this card using Puff Paint on the popcorn to make it feel real.

I used lots of fun dies from Karen Burniston including the napkin from the Coffee Cup Pop-up, the Movie Charms and Popcorn Pop-up - they are linked below.

A Steampunk Birthday

Hello again friends,

Time for another birthday, this card is for a friend who celebrated recently.  It is always a challenge to make a masculine card, but I still love Steampunk so used some gears for this one.

The Photo Gallery Pop-up along with the "Love Is In The Air" charms from Karen Burniston made this one come together in a fun way.

You can see all the products I used linked below.

Birthday Wishes

Hi Friends,

I like to try different things I find on the internet.  This time I found a new to me "fun fold".  I saw it on Lisa Curcio's YouTube channel and had to give it a try.  This is for my grandson's birthday, so I had to include his cute little dog, Frank.  I used clipart to create Frank and then decorated with dies from Karen Burniston.

I hope my card put a smile on your face -

Hello Friends,

I make more Birthday cards than anything else - so of course - I have to share them here with you.  I made this card for a friend who has a summer birthday.  To me these flowers have a summer vibe.

June Designer Challenge - Flag Colors

 Hello everyone,

It's Designer Challenge time once again and this month Karen has challenged the team with the theme "Flag Colors".  These colors are definitely patriotic, but I decided to go in a different direction.  We have an anniversary coming up (#62) so I decided to use the good ole Red, White and Blue to make a card for my sweet hubby.

I used the Heart Pivot Panel with lots of hearts from different Karen Burniston dies.  You can see all the dies and products I used linked below.

Party Hat

Hello Friends,

Recently a friend asked me if I had a die for a pop-up party hat.  I did not have one so decided to create one.  I created the shape using my Scan n Cut but you could easily create this using the old school style, pencil and paper.  It is simply a triangle with a rounded bottom.  Then decorated.

I made it pop up in the center using the tab die from the Christmas Tree Pop Stand from Karen Burniston.  I added a festive pom pom on top and a matching ruffle at the bottom.  I must say I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Black & White with Red

 Hello friends,

I like watching YouTube videos about crafty card ideas.  I found this card on "Stamp Your Card" and had to try it with my own version.  The card on the video has a large flower in the center but since I needed a birthday card I decided to see if the  "Balloon Collage Add On" from Karen Burniston would fit inside.  I was so happy to find out that it did - here is my card with my own touch.

I made this card for a friend who loves black & white with red.

May Designers Challenge - Caffeinate

Hey, it's Designer Challenge Day and this month Karen Burniston has asked us to use the theme of Caffeinate.

I decided to use a die I have not used in a while, the "Frame Pull".  I did make one small alteration which was to add a half inch to height and width of the square front to accommodate the coffee mug. That, of course, meant that I had to add half inch to the length of the pull tab.  I'm happy with the way it turned out, and you can see all the products I used linked below.

 Hello friends,

I made this card for our son - who likes beer.  I simply used some fun images from a paper collection and the Photo Gallery Pop-up from Karen Burniston.  This die set lends itself to any occasion and is easy to assemble.

From One Old Goat to Another

 Hi Friends,

I have a fun birthday card to share today.  My friend and I have a joke about being an old goat so when her birthday came, I just had to get in a dig.  I had to go back to some of Karen Burniston's dies from long ago to find "William" the goat for this card. I used the Fancy Accordion Die Set to finish off this card - combining the new with the old (goat)).

Designer Challenge - Set the Stage

 Howdy friends.

It's Designer Challenge Day and this month Karen Burniston has challenged the team with the theme - Set the Stage.  I used the stage Pop-up to create the center of my barnyard and then added all the cuteness I could find in my collection. You can see all the Karen Burniston dies I used linked below.

Happy Spring

 Hello again friends,

Spring has sprung and I'm happy to see all the fun images of Easter start to emerge.  I had this idea in my head, and it just had to come out.  I have lots of spring elements on this card but thought I would try to make the tree bloom by using the Heart Collage mechanism and it worked perfectly.

You can see all the products I used linked below - have a great day!

See you next time,
