It's Peeps Season - YAY!!

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have something fun for you.  I love me some Peeps and they going to be available soon if they aren't already.  My Peeps are fun to make and the best part is - they are not fattening.  I tried to make mine look as authentic as possible but if you have some ideas, let me know.

I used the Slider Box to construct the box and Small Scenes Bam Box Pop-up to make the Peeps pop up.  Both die sets are from Karen Burniston.

When making the box I tried a few different things before coming up with my final design. Start with the Slider Box making a few alterations as shown below.

To assemble the sleeve - cut two and find and fold all the creases - same assembly as shown (I added a window) in Karen's instruction video linked below.

Instead of one slider tray, cut two and make alterations as shown in the photos above.

To make the Peeps, in your browser type:  free clipart peeps.  There I found many images, these are the ones I used. No one hates fussy cutting more than I do but it was necessary for the logo.  I created a Scan N Cut file for the peeps, but they are easy to cut out by hand or with a die.

I did not have glitter paper so I made my own by cutting the peeps with double sided adhesive on one side of the paper.  If you are using solid colors, it does not matter which side you place the tape.  When I peeled the release sheet from the peep, I added Warm Diamond Mico Fine Glitter from Elizabeth Craft Designs to the sticky side.  The glitter is transparent so the color of the paper comes through.
See my video above for all the details of how I made a template for the eyes and nose.  I also cut the bottom flat so it works in the box best.

Thanks for stopping by today,
S@ndy
