All That Glitters

Hello my friends,

It's the third Tuesday of the month and that, of course, means another challenge at Elizabeth Craft Designs (ECD).  This month it is all about the glitter.  As crafters we just have to have sparkle and shine and there is no better way to get it than Glitter or I should  say - Silk Microfine Glitter?

My card is an easel with the front panel going in a diagonal direction instead of horizontal. Everyone loves glitter and this card certainly has it.

Be sure to hop on over the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog to see what the team made and to enter your comments to win a $20.00 gift card.  All you need to do is comment on this question:

Which of the new Silk Microfine Glitter Palettes is your favorite, Earth, Beach or Bloom?

Just Click Here to go the ECD Blog or you may enter your comments on ECD Facebook Page

My card is a standard A2 card (5.5" X 4.25").  I cut a piece of red cardstock 8.5" X  5.5" and then scored in the center.  On the section that will be the front of the card - score diagonally from corner to corner.

For the many glittered parts of this card I covered the back of my Soft Finish Cardstock (SF) with Clear Double Sided Adhesive from ECD, cut the desired elements and then added the Silk Microfine Glitter.  Once the glitter has been burnished with your fingers it will not come off the paper.

It is hard to see on the photo but the 4th of July elements as well as the strips on the base have all been glittered.  It makes a beautiful card with no mess for the recipient.

A smaller piece of SF Cardstock was cut, glittered with red and white and raised using foam tape.  This makes the front stand up when the card is opened.

I used two of the new colors from the Earth Glitter Palette, Rich Red and Moonbeam as well as some Warm Diamond and the beautiful Royal Blue.

Until next time,
S@ndy
