Have a Magical Birthday

Today I have a fun card for you that uses my newest purchase from Spellbinders along with dies in my Karen Burniston collection.

Who doesn't love the fireworks show at Disneyland to complete your magical day?

With Mickey on the front, I needed to create Cinderella's Castle.  I made the castle using glittered paper, I had the colors for the fireworks and the trim on the castle but to get the color I wanted I had to create my own.  I used blue cardstock with double sided adhesive and Warm Diamond Glitter from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

If you guys watch my videos, you will know that this is my ugly prototype. I used contrasting colors so it would be easy for you to see.  

First thing to do is put the Castle mechanism in the center of the card as shown above.

Next cut a 1.5" square and cut in the center.  Place the die from the Palm Tree in the center and run through the die cutting machine.  You will get two tabs the glue in the center of the card inside the Castle mechanism.

Glue the tree tabs in the canter of the card.

I wasn't sure this would work but I have to say that I am very pleased.
