Hi my friends,
It's time once again for the Elizabeth Craft Designs - Die Cutting Team Challenge. The challenge for this month is Being Negative and below you will see the challenge as it was sent out.
Being Negative - Normally when we die cut we get a positive piece (the actual die cut) and a negative piece (the piece left over from when we cut the die and that we throw away). In many cases those negative pieces can also make interesting cards, so let's use the negative portion of the die cut when creating your card.
Here is my negative make for the challenge.
Here is my negative make for the challenge.
For today's challenge Elizabeth Craft Designs is giving away a Background Die Prize pack which includes: heart background; circles background; chevron background and diamond background to 3 winners.
To enter simply leave a comment on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Challenge post and tell us "What are some project ideas you would use scrap pieces for when crafting?”
We will select 3 lucky winners in a random drawing.
The winners will be announced on Friday, May 5 on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog.
Here's how I made my card -
The finished size of this card is 5" X 7".
Cut card base 7" X 10", crease in center.
Cut 2 panels using the Stitched Rectangle die (shown in red).
Cut one panel of patterned paper and on of white using the Stitched Rectangle die.
Tie ribbon around patterned panel and attach to larger panel.
Using the Dandelion Fluff die, cut 2 small flowers on white panel and attach to larger panel.
Cut out the word "Thanks" using black paper that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive on the back. Attach word to panel.
For the inside of card cut one black panel that is 4.75" X 6.75".
One white panel that is 4.50" X 6.50".
Layer panels on inside of card for a personal message.
Layer all panels on the outside of card.
Have a creative week,
I love this card. Every detail is wonderful. I like the card design, the die shape that you used, the patterned papers--everything works perfectly together. TFS.
