Winter Wonder

Hi there everyone, you probably though I was no longer on planet Earth but I have been busy and no time for posts.

Today I decided that it was time for some crafting and decided to work on my Christmas Cards.  I am making 24 and am about in the middle of the whole thing.

I have only one completely finished so decided I could share it with you as I am happy
with the outcome.

I saw Tim Holtz do this one on his 12 tags of Christmas 2010 and it is just about my favorite one of all.  I can't believe it is nearly time for the 2011 edition. He made a tag of course and I have made this tag a few times but now I decided to turn it into a card.

Since recycling is such a hot topic these days I decided to go green.  I dug around in my craft closet and found all my packaging from dies and embossing folders.  I cut them up in the appropriate size and then ran them through the TH Snowflake Embossing Folder.  I used white paper for the card, snowman, snowflakes & drifts as it was given to me at one of our club meetings from a printer who brings us his scraps.  The black paper used for the hat is also from them. (using up scrap paper is a good thing).  I used the Winter Wonder Die with the Movers & Shapers "Joy" Die all from Tim Holtz of course.

I just love this little snowman, he looks happy, he is dressed up with a piece of ribbon from my stash, a carrot nose and tiny black brad for eyes since I am fresh out of coal!
The top hat is decorated with some small holly leaves cut with my Wishblade and Red Stickles for berries.

Hope the details are not too hard to see, it is hard to get a good pic with the packaging on the front.

Only 23 left to go!!!  ENJOY-

I love hearing from you - thanks for commenting.
