Hugs

A quick pop in today to share a card I made for my friend's birthday.

This one came together so quickly thanks to a great stamp and die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I used Flower Power Clear Stamps and Flower Power Die set along with the
Leafy Branch 4Hugs is from the Love Sentiments.

After creating my background with the new Oxide Inks from Ranger, I added it to a white panel and embossed both using the ECD Swirly Curves Embossing Folder.  I liked the way it looked so it was a keeper.

I stamped and colored 2 flowers using Copic Markers.  I cut one flower using the die and the other flower was fussy cut and then the peddles were separated and glued on individually. A brad was placed in the center and then covered with small yellow beads.

Hope you are having a great week,

Hope you enjoy.

New Release @ Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hi everyone and welcome -

Today I have some great new products to share with you from ELIZABETH CRAFT DESIGNS.  You can find them by clicking the links below.

I have made a desk organizer using some of the brand new papers and dies.  I used a fun piece from Clear Scraps that is designed to be a recharging station for a tablet but I always like to find a new way to use things and I'm very pleased with this.  You could use it for yourself or give it as a lovely gift for someone special.

Hope you will stop by Elizabeth Craft Designs for a closer look,

Being Negative - It's A Good Thing

Hi my friends,

It's time once again for the Elizabeth Craft Designs - Die Cutting Team Challenge.  The challenge for this month is Being Negative and below you will see the challenge as it was sent out.

Being Negative - Normally when we die cut we get a positive piece (the actual die cut) and a negative piece (the piece left over from when we cut the die and that we throw away). In many cases those negative pieces can also make interesting cards, so let's use the negative portion of the die cut when creating your card.

Here is my negative make for the challenge.

For today's challenge Elizabeth Craft Designs is giving away a Background Die Prize pack which includes: heart background; circles background; chevron background and diamond background to 3 winners.

To enter simply leave a comment on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Challenge post and tell us "What are some project ideas you would use scrap pieces for when crafting?

We will select 3 lucky winners in a random drawing.

The winners will be announced on Friday, May 5 on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog.

Here's how I made my card -

The finished size of this card is 5" X 7".
Cut card base 7" X 10", crease in center.

Cut 2 panels using the Stitched Rectangle die (shown in red).
Cut one panel of patterned paper and on of white using the Stitched Rectangle die.

Tie ribbon around patterned panel and attach to larger panel.
Using the Dandelion Fluff die, cut 2 small flowers on white panel and attach to larger panel.
Cut out the word "Thanks" using black paper that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive on the back. Attach word to panel.

For the inside of card cut one black panel that is 4.75" X 6.75".
One white panel that is 4.50" X 6.50".
Layer panels on inside of card for a personal message.

Layer all panels on the outside of card.

Have a creative week,
